Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year on the calendar, it looks forward to the day about in the book of Revelation when Jesus (Yeshua) will make atonement for us in the heavenly temple which is the throne room of God. Like Kol Nidre is the night before, it is traditional to wear white and to avoid wearing makeup or leather. It is also a 24 hour fast from sunset the night before until sunset that evening.
